Google partnered with Shopper Sciences to find out what’s shaping consumer decisions today and they found:

  • 88% of U.S. consumers engage in the zero moment of truth prior to going in-store or online to purchase.
  • The average shopper consults 10.4 sources prior to purchase, twice as many as just a year ago.
  • Search is one of the most widely used and influential sources on the purchase journey.

The consumers of today are familiar with lots of aspects of the products/services before they plan to purchase it. They find incredible detail online, from every possible source, about the brands and products that matter to them. They browse, dig, explore, dream and master, and then they’re ready to buy with confidence.

Get in touch with the consumer at the Zero Moment of Truth so that they can put your product in their shopping list. Make sure that you/your product is just not present online but also viewable to the searchers.  Talk to your potential consumer before they choose your competitor product. Involve them with your product by answering their online queries, sharing your product information, reviews, etc to guide them in choosing your product.
